After 41 years in practice, Dr. Bruce Bleiman has retired from his practice of ophthalmology at Eye Physicians of Northampton.
Dr. Bleiman moved to Northampton in 1979 to join Dr. William Cooley in their office on Locust Street, which eventually grew into Eye Physicians of Northampton.
Over the course of his long and distinguished career, Dr Bleiman helped Eye Physicians of Northampton serve the eye care needs of the Pioneer Valley and developed a reputation for exceptional, compassionate, patient-centered care. With offices in Florence and Amherst,
Eye Physicians has grown into a state-of-the-art eyecare facility with 6 doctors and an optical shop. Dr. Bleiman operated and consulted at Cooley-Dickinson
Hospital and The Cataract and Laser Center West in West Springfield and was voted Best Ophthalmologist in the Valley for the past 3 years in the Gazette Reader’s Choice poll.
His numerous patients will continue to be cared for by Dr. Raymond Hubbe, Dr. David Shield and Dr. Lauren Shatz as well as Dr. Deidrya Jackson, a glaucoma specialist, who will be joining the practice in September. Dr. Bleiman’s kindness, skill, and wisdom will be greatly missed.
